Treatment tailored to meet the needs of each client
You don't have to be diagnosed with a mental disorder to benefit from therapy. Many people who seek guidance through therapy do so to get help addressing everyday concerns, to work on personal growth, relationship problems, job or family stress, or self-doubt and self-esteem issues, for example. Others turn to therapy during difficult times such as when facing the loss of a loved one, or after being diagnosed with a serious illness, going through a divorce, or experiencing symptoms of depression and/or anxiety.
Sometimes depending on the client's diagnosis, medication is an appropriate treatment modality. Even if this is the case it's not a miracle cure, it cannot alone solve the "big picture" problems. It won't fix your relationships, increase your self-confidence, give you more effective coping tools, help you decide what to do with your life or give you insight into why you continue to do things that aren't helpful for you -- that might even be bad for you.
The therapy that Wendi Arnold provides is results oriented and individualized to meet the unique needs and circumstances of the client.
As a seasoned and skilled psychotherapist and counsellor with over 25 years experience she uses a range of treatment modalities tailored to meet the needs of each client, with the client/therapist relationship as the vehicle for change.
Wendi's approach is forward looking and results oriented. She offers you a safe and compassionate environment and she is committed to helping you create the life and relationships you've always wanted.
The process begins with an initial consultation session to determine the nature of the therapeutic contract and whether she and the client think that they can work together to meet the needs of the client. Once this has been determined the frequency of sessions is established and goals and objectives are set out.
